Roma coach Claudio Ranieri reacts to reports that he is in his final five months at the club.
Roma coach Claudio Ranieri has rejected reports that his time at Trigoria would be up at the end of the season.
Il Corriere dello Sport claimed the lack of renewal had seen his tenure thrown into doubt.
But Ranieri used his pre-Cesena press conference to set the record straight and insisted that his future was safe.
"I could have left in June but I never because for me Roma is everything," Ranieri said. "I will do the maximum until the end of my current contract."
The Lupi have a chance to gain some ground in Serie A as they visit struggling Cesena.
"Cesena are a team that has not changed. They play good football, everyone runs and they are always ready to counter attack," added the coach.
"It is here where we need to be very careful."
The demand from Ranieri is goals from several key players including Francesco Totti who has the boss' backing.
"Francesco is will. He is in form, and I hope that in this second half of season Marco Borriello keeps scoring. I hope Totti, Adriano, Mirko Vucinic and Jeremy Menez all get back to scoring ways," he said.
