Sampdoria's loan signing Federico Macheda hints at longer stay as he enjoys Serie A return.
Sampdoria striker Federico Macheda has hinted at a longer sojourn at the Marassi if Manchester United agree.

The 19-year-old is on loan until the end of the season, but he has not excluded an extension if the clubs can agree.

"I am very happy, I have found an experienced team with great players," Macheda told Sky Sport Italia.

"It will not be easy here in Genoa, but I am here to do well and I hope to give my best and take this team into Europe.

"Will I stay another year? We have to speak with Sir Alex Ferguson. I don't know if it will be possible, but never say never."
