Luca Toni will be out for at least 30 days he injured his knee during the Coppa Italia clash against Catania.
Juventus striker Luca Toni has been told he will be out for at least a month of action after injuring his knee against Catania in the Coppa Italia on Thursday evening.
The 33-year-old was forced off in the 18th minute after sustaining the knock.
And after having undergone tests on Friday morning, Juventus confirmed the injury via a statement on their official site. There is relief for Alessandro Del Piero who also suffered a knock to his left knee.
The note reads:
"Toni stop for 25 - 30 days. On Friday morning Luca Toni and Alessandro Del Piero underwent tests at the Fornaca Clinic Sessant following the injuries sustained against Catania.
"For Toni, forced to leave the game after 18 minutes, it has been reported he has a first/second grade lesion to the ligament of his right knee. The prognosis is 25-30 days.
"The examinations on the captain show an oedema in the medial compartment of his left knee. He will be analysed on a daily basis."
The Old Lady's woes up front continue, as the former Genoa hitman joins Fabio Quagliarella and Vincenzo Iaquinta on the sidelines.
The Bianconeri won the match 2-0 thanks to goals from Milos Krasic and Simone Pepe.
