Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi has revealed Diego Maradona wants him to take the number 10 jersey.
Diego Maradona wants Napoli to bring the number 10 shirt out of retirement and give it to Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The legendary jersey was made famous by the Argentinian legend during his time there as a player.

Napoli retired the jersey, but Maradona believes it should be given to Lavezzi, who is often compared with the footballing great.

"I spoke with Maradona, but I prefer to keep to myself what we said about Napoli," Lavezzi told Sky Sport Italia.

"He said I must not have any fear and should take the number 10 shirt.

"I told him it was a matter for the club, but I would not be scared with such responsibility. But it is also something that should be decided by the fans."
