Valencia winger Juan Mata has extended his contract with los Che, club president Manuel Llorente revealed in a board meeting.
The World Cup winner's deal was set to expire at the end of next season, and he has chosen to stay at the Mestalla until June 2014.
Negotiations with the 22-year-old have been going on for more than a year, Marca claim, and a public ceremony in which the contract will be made official is set for tomorrow in the town of Denia.
Mata has played in 21 matches for Valencia this season in all competitions, scoring four goals.
