Juventus Coach Luigi Del Neri Delighted With Quality Performance Against Bari

Coach Gigi Del Neri praised Alessandro Del Piero as Juventus returned to winning ways against Bari.
As Juventus secured a much needed victory over Bari to keep in touch in the race for fourth place, coach Luigi Del Neri underlined the value of Alessandro Del Piero who inspired his side on to victory with a well taken free kick.

“We put in a quality performance this afternoon,” he declared to SkySport.

“Despite having only played on Thursday evening [in the Coppa Italia] the boys gave everything out there and I am delighted with the result.

“Players such as [Alessandro] Del Piero proved that quality is often the difference between sides and we settled the result with two quality strikes.

“He knows how valuable he is to this side and I hope he will continue to prove influential for us during the course of the season. Obviously in my position I have to make choices and depending on the opposition I’m sometimes forced to opt for a more physical forward line.”
