New Milan signing Mark van Bommel says he is keen to impress for the Rossoneri following his move from Bayern Munich.
New Milan signing Mark van Bommel says he is ready to fight for a spot in the Rossoneri starting XI, and keen to impress the Diavoli fans.

The Dutch international joined the Italian giants, but believes Bayern Munich - his former club - could have still used the 33-year-old.

"I am happy to play for Milan," the holding midfielder said to Spox.de. "It isunusual for such a prestigious club to look for a 33-year-old.
"I am not afraid of competition that I might find in the Rossoneri squad. It was solely a sporting decision that I made.

"I have many great moments at Bayern and I will admit that it is a little sad to leave at this moment, but I have faith in my abilities and think I can do well in Italy.

"I do think Bayern Munich could have still used a player like me," he concluded.
