Valencia Coach Unai Emery Pleased With Hard-Fought Win Over Deportivo

Valencia coach is happy with hard earned three points after defeating a well organised Deportivo side.
Valencia manager Unai Emery has acknowledged the importance of breaking down opposition defences after his side managed to narrowly beat Deportivo 2-0 at the Mestalla.

Los Che have now notched up four consecutive victories in the league but the tactician always knew it would be a tough match for his side.

"We knew it would be hard to break the deadlock. It was a tough match against a rival and a well crafted defence. We knew it would be difficult to open the scoring," he told the press.

Emery has came under criticism for his squad rotation policy but he was quick to justify the changes by claiming it was because of injuries and also that the team needed more power in midfield.

"Look at what we did right and wrong, try to think game by game, and we must look at our place in the table after the game."

Valencia now move on to 37 and are just two points behind rivals Villarreal.
